Dreadlock Hairstyles
This is a great video, Elise shows great styles quickly without a lot of chatter.
I also learned about "SpiraLocks" after 20 years of locked hair I've never seen such a cool hair tie.
For all interested this is the link from her video:
Thanks to beautiful
Natalie Garrett for allowing me to share her pictures in this blog!
Long or short locked hair gives maximum freedom
and flexibility. Unless you decide to color that means
chemical free as well.
I don't
agree with all that is said in this article however, there some great tips to
maintain locked hair.
Like all hair styles regular washing and styling are
needed.
It is true that getting your hair to lock is a process the
straighter it is the more resistant.
It took a year for my wooly curly hair to
lock and stay locked.
I've had it long short bobbed and everything in-between.
I mostly use lush products introduced to me by non-other than Natalie!
I use Dirty to twist and style my roots and it's
my favorite great hold.
Daddy-o to wash and American Cream to
condition.
If you are considering locking your hair I strongly suggest getting into the habit of caring it
yourself. Otherwise it will be an investment of time and
money. I've spent as long as 8 hours getting my
hair done and close to $200. Even if I wanted
to spend my money that way, I'm not willing to do so with
my time. Realistically after about the 1st year your
hair and you will be comfortable with the process.
It will save you loads of money and you'll truly
enjoy the freedom and flexibility the style offers.
Be your own " good locktician" if at all possible.
